Musical Theatre Drama Director/Actor
Tony is no stranger to Waterford or the Waterford International Music Festival. He has received numerous accolades, both on and off the stage, including Best Actor, Best Voice and Best Comedian (on three separate occasions). He has also won Best Director at the Festival.
Tony has directed Best Overall Shows at AIMS and Buxton Festivals and an award winning production at the Edinburgh Festival. He has written numerous concerts and a new children’s musical. He was also commissioned to write a narration for Die Fledermaus for Lyric Opera.
Tony has directed Anything Goes, Best Little Whorehouse In Texas, Calamity Jane, Carousel, Chess, Chicago, Copacabana, Crazy For You, Desert Song, Die Fledermaus, Fiddler on the Roof, Forty Second Street, God (play), Grease, Gypsy Baron, Guys and Dolls, Half a Sixpence, Hello Dolly!, Hot Mikado, Jane Eyre, Jekyll and Hyde, Jesus Christ Superstar, King and I, Kismet, Merry Widow, My Fair Lady, Oklahoma!, Oliver!, Once Upon A Nursery Rhyme (World Premier), Pajama Game, Pirates of Penzance, Requiem for Julie (World Premier), Sound of Music, South Pacific, Sweeney Todd, Witches of Eastwick, Wizard of Oz and various pantomimes, revues and concerts.
Tony has been Adjudicator for the DLI (Drama League of Ireland) and Co-director of Festival Productions, Ireland – winners of the International Trophy at Buxton Gilbert and Sullivan Festival for a record-breaking three successive years.
Tony has played Antonio (Merchant of Venice), Chitterlow, Curly, Darryl Van Horne, Don Basilio (Marriage of Figaro), Frosch, The Ghost of Christmas Present (Scrooge), Ali Hakim, Henry Higgins, Hines, The King, Frosch, Major General (Pirates), Melvin P. Thorpe (Whorehouse), Sergeant of Police (Pirates), Seymour, Perchik, Pilate, Pirate King, Tevye, The Lion, Wild Bill Hickock, King Arthur, Captain Von Trappe and many, many more!

Tony's next venture is to adjudicate the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival at the Buxton Opera House. It will be a very busy 3 weeks with 20 adjudicated shows from 3 different Festivals - Youth, Universities and the main International Festival. His next directing job will be Oklahoma! in the Belfast Opera House.
